We had to go to the next town over for a stop at Rite-Aid. There were lots of beautiful clouds in the sky and thunder in the distance and when we got out on the rim, it was a gorgeous drive.
Coming back down through Agua Fria and Blue Jay - I finally got to get a few photos of this house that I've always tried to photograph but we are usually going too fast. There was road work being done and a temporary stop/slow sign was in place so I had an opportunity to get some shots. This place (I know because it was for rent recently and I was able to read about it)....is a one bedroom cabin. If it was 3 bedrooms I would be tempted to try and get it - I love the rock work and all the beautiful trees surrounding it - plus it sits pretty far back from the street and there are no other cabins right near it. I like that they have a patio totally blocked off with the rock wall.
And right below in this pic is an invitation to hike deep into the forest - It may not be posted as an invite - but because it is a path - I would have to take it to see where it goes.
A bit farther down and across the road is this house - another one I like. Looks like a tree had died but still lots of green around the house.
Here is a front view and you can see the front porch and deck right in the middle.
Beautiful skies coming back down rim of mountain.
Down below it is in the mid to low 100's today with humidity - ...we are at high 80's and I'm so happy not to be dealing with that kind of heat.
Another front porch that I photograph usually from far away but got somewhat closer with my zoom today.
Not much of a porch - it's much more enchanting when seen from a distance on a hillside.
Cliff Hanger restaurant that has been vacant for years - Hoping someone moves in and opens up a good restaurant - I would love to see the views from in there.
Another photo taken as we come to the house - a few doors up from us.
That little brown building is "Toni's" a Mexican restaurant that is really good and VERY reasonable prices.
