Back to post another front porch in the series. I was surprised recently when I got my February (or was it January) ..Sunset magazine. Claremont was featured again in one of their sections. I've probably posted front porch photos from Claremont more than other towns around here. I love that town.
Here is a house I take photos of every time I walk through the area. These photos were from a few years back.
NOTE: I am leaving a link here for a post by Tammy who runs a blog Peanut on the Table. I love her writing and I read this post by her today about her Sea Captain brother who is quite a guy and well... maybe you could go read it - so thought I would share
Here is the LINK.
And then for a lot of color - This is a street in Atascadero - which is above San Luis Obispo going up the 101 North - ... and since I'm going to be up at my sister's starting Monday for about a week I'm hoping we can walk through this town again - this pic was taken from the car as we didn't stop to walk on our last visit. We did walk in a beautiful area Santa Margarita which is near this town and I still have a lot of photos from there to post eventually.
I don't know why but it looks like I was on the sidewalk when I took this - but I wasn't - the store must have been on a corner judging from the curve of the sidewalk. When I see this photo it reminds me that since I will be up there for awhile at my sister's, maybe she can "reteach" me a little bit about crochet. She learned years and years ago and I have one of her afghans and would I would like to learn again. I'm not good with online tutorials i think because I'm left handed.
Hey sis, do you still remember the basics - i know it was probably 25 years ago you crocheted.
And as a reminder to myself that I have a lot more of these beautiful pelicans to post I'll put the first one up here. This was near Avila Beach, Ca - again, near where my sister lives.
I get to see a whole lot of them next week!
