LEFT THE MOUNTAIN TOP FOR ANOTHER MOUNTAIN TOP

Yesterday we were out all day. We left Wrightwood and went to Riverside, CA to visit the "duck" park and climb up to the top of Mt.Rubidous. It was a warm beautiful day and even was getting hot while we were walking up to the top. We visited the park twice, first before we went walking up Mt. Rubidoux we stopped by and I photographed a mama duck and her babies. After our Mountain top trip - we stopped back at the park and I was so surprised to see sailboats in the water - this is something I've never seen in all the years we have visited there. It looks like there is a sailboat club that is using the lake. It was a great day and after walking/hiking around here- walking up to the top of Mt. Rubidoux was a piece of cake. I'll share pics interspersed with more Bend photos - some day I'll get the ones I want posted all done.

This park and river were beautiful.

I've been having a lot of trouble lately with my internet speed - most of the time i keep dropping my connection - will only post a few tonight and try again tomorrow.  It's taken me awhile to get this far and hoping it posts.

Meaning I took so many, I have edited so many and then they get sent to a different folder.  So nothing is in order right now.

We went out one night for dinner at a great Italian Restaurant near "Old Mill" district.  These were taken outside of the restaurant.

This Friday our highs will be in mid 30's and lows in the teens. Snow arrives sometime on Saturday.  I think then I will be blogging more,ha!  Unless I want my ears to freeze, crack and drop off - I won't be out walking until I find some ear muffs.

BACK FROM BEND, OREGON

Visited my son and his family this last week.  Bend is beautiful and I loved being there. 

Here are just a few of the many I took.  Between my trip to SLO the week before and Bend this last week - I will probably not post photos of Wrightwood for a long time, ha.  Some times I'll just post photos but no text about them - i just want to get some of them up so they won't get lost in my photo files for years before i see them again.

These were taken on a day we hiked up to a waterfall.  Beautiful hike.
