ADORABLE DOGS AT THE PET HOTEL WHERE WE TOOK BEANIE TO STAY

Before we left for vacation we had to find a place to board our cat, Beanie.  We went there one day just to check it out and decided it would work..  While there I had fun watching these dogs through the window - I think they were there for Doggie Day Care, not an extended stay.  There was another section on the other side of this area where I think the longer term boarding dogs got to play.

Anyway the pics aren't that good but I love the one in front with the cute ears.

They were taken through a window

This was the day we picked Beanie up to bring her home.

I also took some photos of the ones that were in there the day we dropped her off, but the cute dog with the crazy ears wasn't there that day.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR - september 2

Since it will probably be hot I'm looking to going more toward evening when it's all lit up.  This is Cayden riding high.

and this is the same grandson, at 10 years old   The family were all going somewhere and Cayden was in the car next to us - It wasn't until I looked at the photos later that I realize he got photobombed.  I didn't even see the guy in the next car at the time.

AS FRESH AS THE DAY THEY BLOOMED - 2008

I remember the day - my granddaughter MacKenzie was in a stroller and my grandson Cayden was on Papa's shoulders as we walked through a neighborhood near his house on the way to a park.  I saw these recently and thought they still look fresh;)

I NEVER KNEW TACOMA WAS SUCH A BIG CITY

Before Joel (my oldest son) moved to Washington - I did very little "googling" of places there.  Once he moved I got interested in seeing a lot of towns by google maps and then when we actually went on vacation there - I loved seeing these areas in person.  Tacoma was one city that I had no idea what it looked like.

Here are a few pics from our drive through there since we had several hours before we needed to get to SeaTac airport.  I also love the  plane the trip which is only 2 hours 10 mins approximately.  I have a feeling we will definitely get there once or twice a year.  We were only on one  or two  main streets but when I post more pics - you can see more of the city off the freeway.  We stopped and ate at a Spaghetti Factory because we had our grandson Cayden with us and he was hungry and we weren't getting into our area until 11 at night.  I fondly remember the food (as I usually do everywhere I go).  I judge every city and town by the food they have, lol and remember every restaurant I have ever eaten at and probably could tell you what I ordered.

I always take a lot of city street and skyline photos because I always plan to sketch them in the future.

Next time I will take more pics from the water front - i got some but not the area we kept trying to find and I think next time I will.

PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON

I really need to get some photos on this blog to remind me of my vacation to Washington.

Port Orchard is a really old town and not a lot of updating has gone on.  I kind of like it and find it charming.

GREEN VALLEY LAKE

We went up to Green Valley Lake a few days ago and it was beautiful.  I hadn't been up here much during summer so it was nice to see the lake being used.  Usually it's cold and no one is doing anything but fishing.  This lake is about 7000 feet - a little higher in altitude than Big Bear Lake.

We use to have a cabin up here but only owned it for a few years before we sold it.  We just weren't using it enough to justify the payment and utility payments - being too busy with work and kids to get away much. I wish now we had kept it and just added on to make the bedrooms bigger.  The whole cabin was only 650 sq feet but the deck was about 800 sq. feet so in good weather the deck seemed to be part of the house but in winter - everything felt so small.

PUFFIN AND BENNIE - AND I HAVE TO POST THIS HOUSE IN EVERY SEASON

I've posted it before - but wanted to post it in summer - because in fall I'll get another pic - and snow-..and spring blooms...  One of my favorites on the way to Lake Arrowhead.

And you will so enjoy this cute very short video if you follow the link here.  Not only is it adorable but I love the colors in this room and the area rugs.  I think I need to go shopping one of these days for a different area rug.

SOME SEATTLE CITY SCENES

I haven't been posting much so wanted to post some city scenes from our recent trip to Seattle.  I loved what I saw in Seattle which was only a small portion of the city.  But..gotta say - Tacoma is beautiful also - a lot of older architecture and nice waterfront.  I'll probably eventually post some of those also.
