Darn them - they let the cat out of the bag
But at least we got up there a couple days ago and it was beautiful - so many colors I got totally carried away taking photos. Here are a few
up in Big Bear and actually from Crestline to Big Bear there was definitely lots of beautiful colors.
I particularly liked a local Garden Nursery House decor type of place up in Rim Forest near the Cottage where we stop and eat. It looked beautiful when we drove by.
the rest are just some neighborhoods we drove through.
I have a lot more from the drive up the mountain but doubt I'll get them posted. It's too beautiful lately to stay in and be on the computer.

Did the L.A.Times encourage tons of people to drive to the mountains to see the colors? They are very pretty!
Hi Sandy, I saw you on Tessa's blog and wanted to say "hi!"
I'm down here in Riverside..but was born and raised in San Diego. I had not heard of anyone in California being tested for Ebola. Not a calming thought. Do you have a mountain cabin or do you live in crestline full time? I haven't been up the moutain for years. Every year when I see the snow from Magnolia Avenue, I want to go up and look around. Hopefully one of these days soon.
My daughter married a boy from there some years ago..so we spend time there. We used to go up every Winter.
It's so nice to meet someone from home.
Mona
Hi Mona - there was someone I think in Chula Vista that was being tested....and then i just checked and it was a "fake" ebola scare thank God. Yes we live up here and have for a year - lived in Wright wood before that and then down in Alta Loma. I love it up here! We are here full time. Nice meeting you.
We're driving up your way today! I guess hubby read the article. Anyway, he told me we were heading up to Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, and Crestline!
See ya!

thanks all - Hi Cheryl - you'll see more through the neighborhoods in Crestline - at the lake not so much yet. and then up the road - it starts getting prettier and the neighborhoods in Big Bear - gorgeous colors. Lake Arrowhead should be good - we haven't been there for about a week. In fact maybe we will drive there today.
Your photos are so pretty, Sandy! Isn't this a wonderful time of year. I'm glad you were able to be out in it.

Sandy, you wondered what they are doing with that house, in this post of mine.... We were told that the woman wants a 2 story house. And it is possible to make a 2 story, out of the split level, which it is.
With all the gutting, it seems this is her plan.
It's interesting to watch. And document, in my blog.
Tessa~
