I've been watching the hummingbirds at the feeders lately and remembered how much I enjoyed going to Keller Peak Fire Watch Lookout Station and seeing the hummingbirds from up high. I think when fall comes and before they close the gates that allows people to drive up the roads to this area (they close them in winter due to snow and bad road conditions).... I will make another trip there.
There is some good hiking trails and the best part is a trip to the lookout point. I know I've posted these before but not sure if I have posted them on this blog.

What a house! And I love-love-love the hummingbird photos!
I hope to get back to the lookout point to get some new fresh photos of those pretty birds. They have a few feeders that hang from the roof of the tower right in front of the windows of the lookout station. So cool.
and I LOVE the conversation they have
and the singing! LOL
up on the sandia mountain in new mexico ... outside the terrace there were hummingbird feeders and they would fly in huge groups at a time.
it was glorious!
I don't recall any of them singing the sound of music though. LOLOL!
Too cute!!! My mom's favourite bird, is the hummingbird!
Hi Tammy - now I'll be googling sandia mountains in new mexico ...Too bad the ones you saw didn't know how to sing like mine did.
