I love walking through Upland and always get a little bit excited when I walk by this house...Not only for the stories I can conjure up about who lives inside but also the stories that are contained in the books in their little lending library outside.
I always walk with a storyteller. She sits within my mind and makes up stories. I'm usually wrong. If I tell myself a story as i walk by a house that this is where four little girls live with their parents and a dog... and the family is hoping for a son - ....sure enough as I retrace my steps back to the car and pass the house again the yard is filled with three little boys and two cats out playing in the yard.
In this blue house - there is one child (3-years-old) residing here and she lives with her aunt until her parents can relocate from North Carolina. They have sent the child out to California to stay with the aunt until all things are settled and they have moved and are ready to bring her home to their new house ...which is a few blocks away from this blue house. The Aunt and the child's mother are starting a business in the food industry - their dream is to be the caterer to many wedding venues from Los Angeles to Palm Springs. They will be named "Food Angels" and will wear these outrageously cute purple wings adorned with glitzy blingy beads over a white jumpsuit - while serving their customers.
Just a few birds hanging around recently and Beanie enjoying look out at them.
I'm outside looking in at Beanie while she is inside looking out.

I love that house and your story about it! There is a house in SLO that also has a lending library outside. I think I took a picture of it not too long ago.
The purple background on the birds' pictures is so pretty! All the colors look so good together.
And then there is Beanie looking out longingly at the birds she probably wants to play with...which of course means she would bat them around, not knowing it might hurt them.
Yes, I think I've seen that - in fact I may eve have a photo of it - is it yellow by any chance? Beanie got to go for a car ride a little bit ago. Hunt saw the daffodil field yesterday when we were coming home from Running Springs and he loved it and wanted to take Beanie's photo there - so we had a photo shoot. Beanie wasn't impressed - especially as there was a dog nearby barking at her. She was glad to get home to our little tree house so she can watch the birds.
"even"
Lovely photos from your walk.
oh how I love your photos Sandy, and the story you make up sometimes right on...I do look at houses, and the story I make up is, let's make believe I live there lol
OMGosh!!!
I love your story.

and that last picture of the bird... breathtaking! the colors.
and little beanie seeing you and walking toward you... so dear.
XO♥
I love the "book house" out front. That's a beautiful home, and I love the story you imagined about it. Lovely bird photos too. I think Beanie would like to join you and the birds outside! :)
thanks, Lorraine, Tammy and Connie and Ann.
I used to make up stories about people in Restaurants while my husband and I waited for our food. We have "book houses" here too, but they're called Little Free Libraries. Sometimes the people get really creative when they build them. I saw one that had cute Disney dogs and paw prints painted on it and it said "Dog Eared Pages"
Dog Eared Pages - that is cute! One time with my niece we sat in an airport waiting for our flight so I kept her entertained with fictional lives.
I love it!
