Yesterday was really foggy. I think it eventually rained straight for 24 hours - mostly light - the good kind of rain that gives the ground time to soak it up. Just like with snow if it is foggy I have to head out and see the scenery. The dogwood trees and the tulips are now blooming. That's one more reason to get out and see what is springing into being.
This cute house is just down the street and around the corner.
The fog right here wasn't too bad but closer out to the highway on the rim of the mountain it was really dense.
I see I caught a mom and her kid coming out of the house with this next photo - I always cringe when I realize after I pointed my camera that they might have seen me - but she didn't seem to. I try not to take photos if I see someone in the yard. I didn't see her at first because I was admiring the cute house.
I've been admiring this rock and daffodils for days and finally stopped to get a photo. It's just down the road from me. In the distance which I didn't capture on camera are several dogwoods beginning to bloom. I didn't even know what a dogwood tree looked like until we moved to the mountains and now they are one of my favorite type of trees.
A ride through town became really foggy and hard to see. You couldn't even see the lake in the distance because of the fog.
This 911 remembrance rock is on the corner of the grocery store parking lot. There is a big store right in the background but not visible at the time.
The highlight of my ride was this beautiful little garden of tulips. The guy who lives here has been working on the house a lot - I think he is a part-timer up here because no one is home during the week but he is busily working on the house on the weekends.

What a lovely area, so pretty even in the fog.
I love a foggy day, it seems so magical.
Hi Ann - thanks for your visit.
Lon - I think that's why I love fog (and snow)...it changes the "landscape" so it looks so much more magical and pretty.
The small daffodils are such a sweet contrast to everything that's large around them, but even so, they really pop out. They almost look animated. Beautiful photo, especially with the fog. One time I was standing on the sidewalk taking a picture of a house, and when I turned to go to my car, the owners were in their car right behind me. They hadn't even continued into the driveway, just sat in their car in the middle of the street. Very embarrassing, but when I told them their house was so cute, they answered like they'd been told that before. Still embarrassing.
Even the guy's trashcans are colorful! I love thick fog to take photos in because the contrast is so pretty when you have colorful flowers to shoot! I envy you all that rain. Once again we were supposed to have four to five days of rain and so far only 17hundredths of an inch. It seems that we are in some kind of zone where the rain goes around us!
LOL! laura! I was going to say the exact same thing! about his cans.
I love the fog and even better when it comes with a fresh mist of rain. these pictures are heaven to me.
it's cloudy here too today. only we're told to expect severe storms tonight with strong possibility of tennis ball sized hail.
good grief.
do you see why I linger and LOVE your pictures and where you live?
it just seems so quietly civilized. LOLOL! doesn't blow away in the springtime rain. well. not fair to say that. we were told there shouldn't be tornadoes with this storm. only hail. LOLOL. ya gotta love it.
XOXOXO♥
Such a beautiful place, and I love this fog series!
That is some pretty thick fog. Those first few houses look like cottages from a child's fairy tale. They are so cute.
I love them all, but that last one is strkingly beautiful with the bright flowers against the fog.
I LOVE these houses! And I really love fog. A lot.
Love the foggy pictures. Quite an ethereal look to them. Those tulips are gorgeous.
I can imagine the cold! Oh, sometimes I wish to wake up in a place like this. Away from the noise of the city and the smog.
Lovely photos.
