72 hour countdown

As of this coming Tuesday we will have moved in.  We've been busy packing, cleaning, etc., at the place we live now but by Tuesday night we will be sleeping at the new house.

This smallish 2 story mountain home was built in the 60's so it's old but the new owner has painted it and updated a bit like with a new stove, microwave and dishwasher.  We had to buy a black refrigerator to match which will be delivered a few days after we move in. This place looks  like it will be perfect for us.  I tend to love the cabin look so this really fit the bill when I found it.  Here is the kitchen and I was happy to find in my boxes of  "stuff"  that through the years when sorting out what to keep and what to get rid of - this cowboy coffee pot boiler made it to the keep pile.  My mom would have loved a modern kitchen, my dad would have loved this kitchen.  I guess I'm more like my dad.  Two bedrooms are upstairs along with the kitchen and living area and bath and then downstairs another bedroom, family room and a bathroom.

This kitchen as lots of cabinets (that you don't see) and we've already unpacked everything and it's ready for someone to cook a meal.

We went up yesterday to take some more boxes and to start cleaning windows.

We will go up again today to finish cleaning and make it move in ready.

I've noticed since we've become renters that even though houses looks clean when you move in once you put a wet cloth to floors or walls, they aren't clean.

I have a little window at the top of the stairs that is perfect for my favorite vase.

Clean windows make me happy

It takes so little anymore to please me.

When I was young I wanted "More" and now as I'm older I want "less".

But - always, always, birds and trees, plenty of nature to see through my clean windows.

That's all for now, as the furniture gets moved in I'll have more photos.

How exciting! I know how much work it is to move, but it is an adventure too. I know what you mean about wanting "less." I'm becoming more like that all the time. Your new home sounds perfect for you. I like the way everything looks too.

Oh, it looks so peaceful! I cannot wait to visit and see it all in person. Thinking about perhaps the 4th, Monday, or the 5th, Tuesday? Will you be ready for us by then? ;)
