We were out walking one day and she saw us coming down the street and came out to greet us. What a cutie she is.
"All life, regardless of its form, classification or reputation, will respond to genuine interest, respect, appreciation, admiration, affection, gentleness, courtesy, good manners."
When we stopped petting her she walked up to her porch. This was her gramma who was watching her daughter's kids. The gramma was friendly also.
"All living things are individual instruments through which the Mind of the Universe thinks, speaks and acts. We are all interrelated in a common accord, a common purpose and a common good. We are members of a vast cosmic orchestra, in which each living instrument is essential to the complementary and harmonious playing of the whole."
Gramma said "Susie" is a sweetheart and doesn't always make the effort to go up to someone to greet them. We felt honored she chose us to bestow her attention on.
"Never forget that every living thing has a particular and needed job to do in the universal Plan and Purpose."
She loves her gramma who takes her out every day and lets her mingle with people.
"The Mind of the Universe is constantly speaking through all life and for the greater good of all life
She had the softest fur. It felt like a cozy blanket I bought a few years back at Bed, Bath and Beyond and which I miss dearly. I gave it to my youngest son when he got his own place and wanted one of his aunt's afgans or his mom's blankets. I thought that was too sweet for words. And..it was my favorite color - deep purple - soft and cozy. But of course a mother sacrifices for the sake of her kids. lol
The same universal Intelligence and Energy which animates and governs one form of life also animates and governs all other forms of life."
She has a cute little strange body shape.
"Good is latent in every living thing, and simply needs to be called into active expression through the gracious application of respect, sympathetic understanding, gentleness and love.
"As those illumined ancients pointed out long ago, all life is innately equipped to speak with all life whenever minds and hearts are properly attuned."
I suppose she's ready to bestow her love on to someone else now.

I've been listening to the audio version of Kinship With All Life by J. Allen Boone. It's a very interesting story of his relationship with a celebrity dog years ago named "Strongheart" who starred in several movies.

she looks like she's wearing little fur pajamas.
i had a cocker once. she never got bigger than a 6 month old puppy. the vet said a mutant gene.
i kept her fur cut in what they call a puppy cut. it looked just like this little girl. and yes...
it was like touching the softest stuffed animal... only she was real! and so adorable. one of my rescues.
not friendly though. except to me. and she loved the marine. i named her sarah.
she had been abused and was fearful of everyone... especially children.
so we would walk early in the mornings. and evenings. she was a darling. we had a great life together for 12 years.
i love this post sandy. and i'll definitely be learning more about j allen boone. i LOVE his thoughts throughout the post.
and i too totally believe that we can communicate with them. it's there. we humans are just usually too loud and pushy!

And interesting take, which this man had, on all of Life. What do we really know, for sure? Not much, beyond hard cold substance. How much more could there be...? Which can not be held under a microscope to dissect????

I think you'll enjoy it - I've been listening online - it's a lady reading his book - in four youtube segments. I've come across others who communicate with animals and it's fascinating to me. We had a cocker when we were little - we called her "sugar" - i think. Anyway it was hard to keep her - she could climb a chain link fence. anyway, my parents were kind of neutral when it came to aninals. She probably got out and we didn't see her again.....or...was she the dog who had worms and eventually passed. Long time ago in the 50's ...there are things i don't have a clear memory of.
he sure has a fascinating story and I tend to agree with him - so much we don't know - our life is the tip of an iceberg that runs deep into the ocean.
if I were to get a dog - one like her would be sweet! But I think anymore I'm more of a cat person.

I would have to try to give that pretty little Susie a hug and some serious petting if I saw her. You can tell her fur must feel like the blanket you wrote about just from the pictures.
