This area around the Claremont colleges has a lot of restored houses. This time of year I love my walks around Claremont.
People are very trusting I see - ... this beautiful gazing ball is right next to the sidewalk. I really liked it but I'm not that kind of person to take it - but if I was....
Claremont has really cute squirrels - cuter than we have in the mountains.

oh my gosh he's adorable..who knows Sandy maybe she put it there because she was hoping someone might take it? Was it close to the garbage if it is at least six inches away from the garbage I say it's a free for all, I mean she got too tired she had so many things to throw out which, if you see, of course you should take it, I mean garbage pickers have to get busy, 'cause their job can be hard and dirty and boring and it is your duty to help American Garbage pickers because you're just such a wonderfully giving person....and the back aches, well you're just a caring human being...you must do hwat you must do...
lol,, never thought of it THAT way - thanks for the different perspective - maybe a trip to Claremont today would be a good thing.
First of all, where is that path that is showing in your banner photo? Where is that bridge?
I think the squirrels are cuter because they get pretty chunky from all the available food that they don't have to look for in snowy conditions. This looks like a very chubby squirrel in the closeup.
I would love to take a walk in Claremont with you this time of year!! When did you actually take this walk?
I like those flowering shrubs around the house--so pretty! Cute squirrel--we don't have that color here. We mostly have gray (with just a few black) squirrels here.
I've never seen dual colour squirrels. Looks a chubby one, it's a great photo. We have red ones not many left though as they're being decimated by the grey squirrel population.
A very nice house, love the colours.
Hi Laura - Duarte is where the bridge is - they have a nice path there to walk - we did it several years ago. Hi Connie - always surprises me how squirrels colors and fur differ in different areas - ours are pretty much gray up here in the mountains - our tree squirrels - our ground squirrels have some white and a little rust color in them.
Winifred - the grey squirrels are doing away with the red ones - wow, that's not cool.
what a beautiful home. I love that cutie in the last one too. :-)
your header scene looks so warm and sunny.
Beautiful house and squirrel too. Claremont is such a pretty town.
Hi Sandy :)
That little guy is so cute! So is the house. The gazing ball has the same color scheme, which I think is pretty neat.
I had a great time catching up with you. Loved all the pictures of you visit with your sister. I miss that area sometimes and it's nice to see it's just as cute as ever :)
Also, thank you for your very kind words, my friend.
xo,
rue
thanks Rue - it was a great visit and I"m anxious to go back again to the central coast.
