SOME NICE HOUSES IN THE FOG

After  stopping in at Stater Brothers thought I would photograph some houses in the fog along the shoreline at Lake Arrowhead.  The fog at one point rolled in very heavy and between photographing the houses in the fog and the new babies (one mother duck has 14 babies and another one has seven babies) I left and enjoyed the rest of the foggy day at home.  Even though these are pretty houses i would never want one as big as one of those.

Stater Brothers is just beyond these buildings so it's a quick walk down to the shore.  If you have to make a trip to the grocery store - this is a nice place to go. The fog rolled in quickly and it became really chilly but I didn't notice how cold I was until after I got all my photos.

You didn't ask, but I'll tell you anyway: my very favorite of the whole group ( and they are ALL beautiful! ) is the last one. There is something so unique when you have colors like that coming out of the fog. Also, all those red umbrellas in the first photo...what restaurant is that? And do people usually wander out on the boat docks like that?

yes those umbrellas are at a place we like to go for happy hour once in awhile. Papagayos - we usually get their beer and I get parrot eggs and he gets a mexican pizza good prices. We use to get but not anymore their entres a few years back - and their carnitas was pretty good. We eat light anymore and don't like to spend a lot on food so we only go for happy hour - no matter which restaurant we go to. Another favorite Hortencias In Sky Forest with a great outdoor patio is opening up another restaurant at the old Cliffhanger Restaurant on hwy 18, Crestline area. Really looking forward to it. I love their chicken flautas.

the last house you are talking about was actually from the photos before - when we went through Burnt Mill Road - this house sat far back but it looks closer because of my zoom. One of my favorites along there.

so beautiful with the fog and all.
reminds me of the "cottages" of the thousand islands area in upstate new york.
where the other half... I guess now they're called the 1% ... live for the summer to avoid the city's heat.

Beautiful photos, Sandy. You have such a good eye for what makes a great photograph. That fog does make it look kind of cold.

thanks for your comment Tammy - Oh yeah the 1% - they can live just about anywhere they like - as long as they can purchase it out from under somebody - or purchase the whole town for that matter - or an island...

thanks so much Connie.

jalapeno poppers lol. Their theme in the restaurant is kind of tropical and they have photos of parrots so i guess that is why they call them parrot eggs.
