Since way back in 2003 when we owned a place up here and the fires went through - (and then again in 2007) Green Valley Lake looked kind of sad - but year by year it's looking better and I read recently that the area is thriving. We drive up from where we live about once every six weeks or so, sometimes longer between visits - (about a 25 minute drive from where we are now ) and I've noticed that Green Valley Lake has its' beauty back.

Thanks all. Yes Laura - we always go by the old cabin and it looks the same. Exactly. Even to the chairs on the deck that we can see from the road.
Cheryl Ann - nice place to visit for a few hours - not much of a town at all - five buildings maybe - but it's not all that far from Big Bear City. Maybe 20 minutes.
Good idea Serena - sketching opportunities - i have taken so many pics to do that some day.
