Yesterday as we walked along the lake, for a charity event, the boat house was open and one could rent a boat and fish. The charity event was a dud but since they had planned to open the boat house - they decided to keep it open for the day. Normally, the boat house won't open up between Labor Day and around April 1st. I saw a few people out in boats. Late afternoon as the sun was about to go over the mountain (we have early sunsets up here) we went back out and I tried to get a few photos which I'll post later.
Temps were mild again, in the 60's. On the way home we stopped by the "A" Hamburger stands at the bottom of our road and Mike tried their hamburger and I tried a quesadilla - not too impressed with it.
That was the extent of the day yesterday. This morning I woke up to a lot more birds in the yard. I even saw two Northern Flickers which I got photographs of (they will be posted at my nature blog). I'm excited to see more and more birds showing up. When upstairs in my kitchen/eating area by the big windows I feel like I'm in a bird house. The smaller birds are starting to eat seed off the railings that I placed a week ago.
I LOVE this area.

Wow, so gorgeous! It ought to be painted!
That is a pretty scene. I agree it would make a lovely painting too.
