AND a special mention for Geraldine's blog - she does really really good reviews on all types of products and writes books - a very creative person. She is running a spring contest with lots of goodies. Here is a LINK to her blog
I wonder if they planned it out - What came first - the blue house or the blue car.
I had a surprising drive to an area I hadn't driven before - it's on the other side of town and most of the properties are on fairly level lots - they are old little cabins - very cute - and with a midwest feel to the area. I would rather post old charming little houses or cabins than big beautiful homes unless the bigger ones have a lot of character and are restored older homes. I find little houses much more interesting to look at. I think it's from my childhood. I can in my imagination put myself back there skipping, rollerskating, playing Annie Annie Over, catching fireflies in the summer at night. I loved the 50's.
Soon acres and acres of daffodils will be in bloom over in Twin Peaks - a garden planted years and years ago in memory of this man's wife who owns the property - his wife passing away from cancer.
these are just a few angles of a really large area.

What a sweet thing for him to do. I hope they bloom forever.
That house is awfully cute and I agree about small homes. My car is green like one of the colors around my house, so I'm guessing it's just a favorite color :)
xo,
rue
That's probably it. Their favorite color. My car is silver and my jeep is black and silver but my house is drab beigey yellow (it's a rental or i'd change it) . I think my next house will be SILVER with black stars on the siding;) I'm heading over to your place to see what beautiful things you have posted (if any lately)...
I loved the 50's too.
and little houses.
it seems like all houses seemed just the right size back then.
our town is FULL of these ridiculous mega monstrosities!
they fill the lot. it's so silly.
I can't imagine living in one.
they're all new. and probably won't last!
It's amazing how close the house and car are in color! I imagine the daffodils look beautiful when they are in bloom. What a sweet tribute they are to his wife.
It definitely looks like Kansas to me! It just looks so homey!
Be sure to get photos of the daffodils...one of my very favorite flowers!
thanks ...Tammy - the area we lived in for years and owned a house - has so many huge houses anymore. I'm wondering if they are shocked when they get their utility bills - like only saw the size and roominess but didn't figure in the utilities. I'm sure it's happened to a few families along the way especially when you're young.
yes i will definitely get some daffodils in bloom photos.
What an adorable cottage...love the colour! I yearn for a tiny cottage. It's always been a dream of mine to live in a cottage by the sea although I'd be just as happy to live by a lake in the country too.
OH my, what a beautiful sight the daffodils must be. My favourite flower as a child and still is.
