Because it snowed.... less than 2" - it made everything so pretty again. As we usually do after it snows, we took off in the jeep to get some snow pics. The snow was already melting by noon which is about the time we drove through the area and over to Lake Arrowhead. I thought it was so pretty with the fog coming in off the rim of the mountain. We pass this house all the time going over to the lake but it never stood out before and how pretty it looked when I took the photo.
And as we got near the village of Lake Arrowhead, this beauty was seen near the entrance to the village.

Oh ....nice surprise - I saw the geese had returned to the lake.
When we got home the juncos were on the railing and eating off a pile of seed that I had emptied out of a bowl to dry off.
And Mama Cat's boyfriend was at the window looking in waiting for us to put out some food for him. What pretty eyes he has.
Our purple blossom tree (maybe wild lilac?)....is in bloom and is SO beautiful right now. Makes a great backdrop for bird photos.

Beautiful photos! So many pretty houses there, and they look so nice framed by trees with a dusting of snow. I like the purple flowers background for your bird photos too. That makes them look more spring-like.
All of these photos are gorgeous! Also, the colors in the banner picture are so pretty! Great bird pics and location photos...it looks magical up there!

I can see where you get all the inspiration for your bird paintings. Perfect photos of them. The one with the snow on him is so cute. And the look on the cat's face is so endearing. Waiting patiently.
