KEEP THE ENCHANTMENT COMING

We did get snow here in the mountains and some wonderment was happening in the yard.

First is the Clapping Tree.  I had never noticed that the tree appeared to be clapping until it snowed the other day.  It seemed to be giving a round of applause for the beauty around it.

the breezes were making the flag wave and ripple - it was so pretty.

I happened to catch a photo when it shaped into a bird.

I spent quite a bit of time during the snow fall making sure i had moved the feeders up on the deck under the eaves so the food would be dry - I kept replacing the frozen water in their bowls with fresh water (birds drink a heck of a lot).  So when I saw the next image out in a tree - I saw it as a thank you from the birds - ...  I was upstairs and had looked out the window and was eye level to this "snow" bird.

Hope you all had a great holiday - I'm waiting for the temps to warm up a bit so I can get out and walk again.  It's not so much the cold temps but the wind chill at times that makes it too cold for me to walk.

We have had so much traffic in these mountains and accidents on the roads we've made the national news - so instead we have chosen to pretty much stay off the roads until next Monday.  Big Bear has had the most snow in years so the roads are packed with people coming to ski.

We did find a good window to go down the hill yesterday to hand off a grandson to his dad and made it down and up easily with the route we took.  It felt good to do something besides sit in the house and look at birds and snow.

There is a saying that that what you focus on expands - in this case my love for birds and my focus and appreciation for them - brings me cute little gifts from the spirit of the birds.

two of hundreds of bird photos i took while in the house!

this coming year will be a focus of gratitude, appreciation, abundance, harmony and peace for the world.  If I love the world it can only love me back.

NOTE:  Thanks to Wanda's comment in the comment section
I googled the Bible and "clapping tree" and I saw this:

Isaiah 55:12

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

I was happy to see this - thank you Wanda - ....I don't know much about the bible - but I know that Love leads the way to peace and joy.

Wonderful photos Sandy. Did you know there is a verse in the Bible that talks about the trees clapping, and now you have captured it. Love it....

I love this post, Sandy. So cool for you to see the bird figures in the flag and in the snow. Definitely seems like a wink to you from nature. :-)
