During our walk yesterday we walked the upper level of the lake - by that I mean that there is the street level, and then the mid level which is a path through a woodsy area with views of the lake the whole walk and then, since the water level is lower than it use to be - there is the lowest path which is along the shore line. We finished the last leg of our walk up on the upper path. I saw this blue house in the distance and took a few shots.
When we moved - when we acquired the house, I didn't realize we were within a few houses of a great view of the lake. We always drove up to the house the same way every time (which wasn't the way you can see the lake) While waiting for the moving truck to arrive on the day we moved in, I was already up here and decided to take a walk up the hill instead of down. Three houses up from me was an empty lot with this view. I realized the other day while taking a photo of my neighbor's house while standing on my deck, if those trees in the background weren't there I could see the lake. Darn! I love trees but I would have loved a view of the lake but I can go photograph that view any time I want to go outside and walk up the hill a little bit.
Here is our neighbor's house and the lake is beyond that.
This is the view in the fog the other day.
This photo below was taken late yesterday. It's those pretty yellow trees down there and beyond that are in the way of the lake view.
I am really enjoying where I live now. I think I'll settle in for a few years.
I'll probably way over indulge on my photo postings on my blogs. There is so much to photograph around here. And then, if I get bored with these scenes, I'll go visit my sister at the coast. She and her husband left yesterday after being here about three days. I enjoyed their visit so much and hope they come back soon.

Stay for a long time, it's just gorgeous where you live.
Wow, that lake view is spectacular! I enjoyed all your pictures, Sandy. I'd be out there with a camera all the time too if it were me. You certainly live in a beautiful spot.
thanks Inger and Daisy. We walked again today and every day the lake looks different because of the lighting. We will be walking twice a day until it gets too cold or we get snowed in. The mornings will be the lake and the afternoons through town and close by neighborhoods. I love it here!
I love your house and the location and the walking you have available to you now! Love it all! But I left my shoes in your upstairs closet, I believe, you know, the ones you can just slip on and it looks like you have walking shoes on? Now I've got a pair of hiking boots in Bend, OR, and walking shoes in Crestline, CA. Don't sell 'em! :)
you also left your Tums. I'll bring them to you when we come up. Wish I had the same size feet - i'd keep your shoes - they will probably go with the new tops you bought me. Thank you very much.
Sandy what a nature filled piece of Paradise you live in.. So very beautiful and all those tree lined streets for walking.. You picked a gorgeous place to live.
Thanks Gwen - we love it here .....
.......although......If I could afford it.....I would LOVE your house, your property, your view and ....well I'll stop there...Don't want to gush too much but you live in the Kingdom of Heaven. I should link to your house later when I get back.
