AN ODD COLLECTION

I'm not sure if I have photographed several little houses or one big one - ...These houses sit close to town and we pass by them whenever we leave our area and head up to the top of town to catch the 18 hwy going down the hill.

I don't know if these places change tenants often or if it is just one or two tenants.    They look like different little houses but they are all connected it seems by one roof.

So here's a few odd little front porches..

There seems to be at least two houses in this row because of the fence below

Very strange indeed. But, they are cute! We're both looking to retire in two years and are thinking seriously about downsizing!

I am SO glad we downsized and yet I still feel I have too much stuff. We went from a really big house down to a small 3 bd 1 1/2 bath place. I could go down to 2 bedrooms and had been thinking about it before our grandson came to live with us - now i'm glad for 3. I still have a yard but not an acre to deal with - but good enough size to get out and have something to do (rake dirt)..here in the mountains. You will love retirement no doubt!

Is it possible that at one time they were rental cabins, like a motel setting with several cabins?

They look so bright in the sunshine. Betcha' they look happy-warm, in winter.

Happy Monday hugs,
Tessa

Those are quaint and interesting. It does seem like there's more than one there.I would guess they are rental units.

U could be right Laura - kind of looks like an old motel setting - there is only pavement in the front - ...yeah that could be. when I first moved in i thought they were ugly but they started to grow on me when i looked at them closer and realized they are cute. the more we passed by them the more i liked their little character.

they probably are warm in the winter ----warmer than mine which is on 2 levels and the top level has a lot of windows and high ceiling and not easy to heat in the winter.

glad to see u up and around Lorraine... i hope you find yourself a small house some day u can love. The rents here are really inexpensive - come live on the mountain.
