I have a thing about front porches. I always put it down to being born and living in the midwest, Kansas, up until about 9 or 10 and playing on the porch a lot.
Have time to just put up a few quick photos today. We are leaving in awhile to go to the coast and walk around Balboa Island and other beach towns and we may stay late enough to get some sunset pics. Once in awhile I post sunset photos at a group on FB.
I've been wanting to go for awhile now and today seemed to a good day. I hope traffic isn't too bad.

Nothing like a front porch to make a home feel civilized! I think it's that midwest thing that we miss.
I love porches too....but now.I'm happy with a balcony.
Cheesy bread yum, love the photo and porches oh my gosh they're so few now, and that's a shame, lovely photos, and have a great time today, there will be no traffic ;)

agreed - I have kind of a deck now - not really a front porch. do you have a front porch - ...if so can you share a photo!
yes i agree Laura - ...i want to play hospital and have our patients delivered by wagon again to our under the front porch hospital.
what fun times those were. And think of how many times we stepped on the cracks and broke mom's back.
balconies are good too - i have a deck up high in back and a deck in front for a front porch....
though..
i still miss the idea of a front porch like the ones i see on my walks. have fun - aren't you suppose to be in Oregon by now?
ahahaha - oh....there was traffic okay - everywhere in southern california they are working on roads whether it is freeways, surface streets, city streets down to one lane - we had a wonderful time IN THE CAR yesterday - because most of the time was in the car trying to get to the beach - however, i had a great time when out of the car. and cheezy bread - well this was the best i have ever tasted.
I also love front porches ... love these here!
I love front porches too and wish I had one. They always seem so homey.
