the mountain communities up here
Crestline... elevation about 5000 depending on where you live.
Lake Arrowhead... - somewhat higher than Crestline.
Running Springs... - about 6000 ft.
Arrow Bear - a little higher than 6000 ft.
Green Valley Lake - around 7000 ft
and Big Bear about the same as Green Valley Lake.
Where I live we just got slush during the last storm but higher up (Green Valley Lake) they had quite a bit of snow fall...as did
Runnings Springs and ArrowBear. We didn't go all the way up to Big Bear as we didn't have time and figured there would be crowds of people on a Saturday after a big snow fall....just waiting to ski.
It's great the amount of rain and snow California is getting - the drought gods are sitting around pretty bummed right now. We have several more storms lining up in the Pacific to come in and bring moisture - including today - and possibly snow here where I live tonight - ...But the higher elevations will definitely get more snow.
this last pic is from the little lake in Arrow Bear which is frozen over now.

Beautiful photos, Sandy. We haven't had a lot of snow here yet, which is OK by me. We are expecting a snowfall on Christmas Eve though.
