Beautiful photos, Sandy! I'd call them birds because I don't know what kind they are. :-)
Love these birds. We walked on Pismo Beach this morning and for some reason there were so many egrets, including snowy egrets, coots, seagulls, terns and herons there...never seen it quite like that. The tide had been up to the bluffs overnight so the beach was huge today and probably a lot of food out in the sand for all those birds.

daisy - i always get them mixed up - i think snowy egret and white heron are the same thing but not sure.
